Annual Meeting
January 24-25, 2025
AC Hotel Downtown, Asheville NC

Join us at the Marriott AC Hotel in stunning downtown Asheville for our Annual Meeting which features both social and CLE experiences for you and your colleagues.
Friday's social will start at 7:00 and is hosted by TowneBank. Come by and say hello to Sara Boshart, who generously sponsors this event every year.
On Saturday, we will offer 5 hours of CLE, 3 of which will also satisfy E-Notary requirements. The E-Notary class is authorized by the NC Secretary of State and will include the training materials. We will also have Gary W. Thompson, the Deputy Hazard Mitigation Chief with the NC Geodetic Survey, who will discuss the re-establishment of property markers in WNC following Hurricane Helene. Finally, we'll have Camille Stell from Lawyers Mutual discuss emergency planning for your law firm's business operations as well as health emergencies.
We will also provide Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday. Saturday's meeting content runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There are additional events offered after the meeting for those staying in town another night.
Most attendees not living nearby stay in the group hotel, where we have a block reserved at a special rate. In this case it is $249 per night.
The registration fee includes the social, breakfast, lunch, snacks, all-day coffee on Saturday, and the CLE hours which we will report on your behalf. Per the new CLE rules you will still be responsible for the annual flat-rate CLE fee that the NC State Bar will assess.
Those wishing to stay in the AC Hotel should QUICKLY book your room in our group rate block at this link: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1724344404178&key=GRP&app=resvlink

Saturday Afternoon Options
For those staying in Asheville after the annual meeting concludes on Saturday, January 25, we are arranging some optional events!
At 3:30 we have reserved a group tour for up to 25 people at the French Broad Chocolate Factory. This tour will cost $15 per person, and will last about an hour. The idea is to meet in the hotel lobby at 3:15 and drive over. Please reserve a ticket in your registration process.
At 5:00 we have room for 10 people to tour the Wicked Weed Brewery, and if we exceed 10 we may be able to reserve the 4:00 tour slot as well. That tour is free. Please reserve a space in your registration process.
At 7:00 we will gather for dinner, with each person covering their own meal and beverages. Selecting this option on your registration form will help us know how many people we need seating for in a restaurant, if we can find a reservation.
